R E D

Endless seeming hair crisis days are over and my hair is bright red again!

So, goodbye faded pinkish-orange-yellow-mess! One of my friends said once that I look like My Little Pony with my hair – she must be right!

And the roots, oh my God, the roots... They are probably the worst! And also the faded, washed out red which has turned to orange. As you can see; dark roots with faded red hair will show up like a plague.

Depending what brand of red hair dye I’m using, my hair can sometimes fade to orange, but usually now it turns to pinkish color first and that’s why my friend called it a My Little Pony -hair. Bleaching the roots makes my whole appearance look a bit more bearable, but anyone can still see that the hair is a work on progress... So what else there is to do but to dye, dye, DYE!

This time I had a little over one can of red hair dye left from last time I dyed my hair, so I ordered three more cans, even I knew I won’t be needing that many but I prefer having too much dye than too less – one of the worst feelings what comes dyeing hair is when you run out of hair dye in the middle of the dyeing process!

To be honest, I was feeling a little under the weather today and didn’t feel like starting dyeing my hair, but I still decided to do it and I couldn’t be happier that I did... I somehow think dyeing takes too much time and effort to even begin with but after I’ve done, I always realize how easy it actually is.

It took me three cans of hair dye and about 50 minutes to dye my hair – I have never been so organized and fast in dyeing my hair as I was today!

One of my very favorite feelings is the moment just after I have washed the red dye off of my hair and have bright red hair again. If the hair is bright red even it’s washed and still wet, it’s always a good sign for me.

This is the result of the whole dyeing process! After dyeing my hair, I try to cherish the red color as long as I can. I always think I will dye my hair at least once in every two months but I always let myself slip from that. That’s why I end up having hair crisis! But with blood, sweat, tears and red hair dye it is all fixed up. I couldn’t feel any better right now, when I can walk with my head held high again!

PS. Here’s a photo of my chubby cat winking at you:

Scary or cute?
