Shopping Fever

I have been shopping quite a lot lately – guilty as charged!

I found these bags and a necklace from one of the second hand shops downtown:

I first didn’t see the heart shaped bag, but hopefully it caught my eye before I left from the shop.

I had made a promise not to go to the mainstream clothing shops, but there’s something magnetic in them, especially when the clothes are on sale, so I could not resist! One big Finnish clothing chain is shutting down about half of their stores around the country, so they are selling their clothes like mad, bright sale stickers glowing on most of their clothes.

I hoarded a bunch of clothes with me in the fitting room, but most of them didn’t left the shop with me... But I actually found a dress (and I never find dresses) that suits me and size S actually suited me better than size M. I have also found a shirt and two skirts. Women can never have too many skirts, right?

But now I must snap my purse to a close and not buy another thing – although all of these findings were real bargains! I’ll try to take outfit photos from the new purchases as soon as possible... Stay tuned.

Fifty Shades of Red

The winter has felt like forever, especially those days between a beautiful white coat of snow and those slushy days when the snow isn’t yet gone... I can’t wait for those actually warm days when you can put on something lighter clothing.

But now, at least the snow has melted and I can’t wait for the summer! I have been using pants (yes, pants) almost through the whole winter but now I have started to use skirts again. Oh, how I have been waiting for that.

Also, I have been able to put on my high heels for the first time since winter! I have been using high heels every day about two weeks now and I can’t even describe the feeling... No more combat boots!

Today's outfit consisted a pencil skirt with a silver zipper and a translucent top which comes down like air.

Here’s some more photos from today:

I haven’t been using this necklace for a while but I think it goes well with all the other silver details – and I like the text.

I thought that my “basic” dark makeup would go well with the dark outfit and black nails.

I have been enjoying my red hair more than I can put into words. I love how sunlight makes my hair shine!

Tomorrow it’s Friday and the weekend is finally here. I hope you enjoy the springtime and you have had a great week!

R E D

Endless seeming hair crisis days are over and my hair is bright red again!

So, goodbye faded pinkish-orange-yellow-mess! One of my friends said once that I look like My Little Pony with my hair – she must be right!

And the roots, oh my God, the roots... They are probably the worst! And also the faded, washed out red which has turned to orange. As you can see; dark roots with faded red hair will show up like a plague.

Depending what brand of red hair dye I’m using, my hair can sometimes fade to orange, but usually now it turns to pinkish color first and that’s why my friend called it a My Little Pony -hair. Bleaching the roots makes my whole appearance look a bit more bearable, but anyone can still see that the hair is a work on progress... So what else there is to do but to dye, dye, DYE!

This time I had a little over one can of red hair dye left from last time I dyed my hair, so I ordered three more cans, even I knew I won’t be needing that many but I prefer having too much dye than too less – one of the worst feelings what comes dyeing hair is when you run out of hair dye in the middle of the dyeing process!

To be honest, I was feeling a little under the weather today and didn’t feel like starting dyeing my hair, but I still decided to do it and I couldn’t be happier that I did... I somehow think dyeing takes too much time and effort to even begin with but after I’ve done, I always realize how easy it actually is.

It took me three cans of hair dye and about 50 minutes to dye my hair – I have never been so organized and fast in dyeing my hair as I was today!

One of my very favorite feelings is the moment just after I have washed the red dye off of my hair and have bright red hair again. If the hair is bright red even it’s washed and still wet, it’s always a good sign for me.

This is the result of the whole dyeing process! After dyeing my hair, I try to cherish the red color as long as I can. I always think I will dye my hair at least once in every two months but I always let myself slip from that. That’s why I end up having hair crisis! But with blood, sweat, tears and red hair dye it is all fixed up. I couldn’t feel any better right now, when I can walk with my head held high again!

PS. Here’s a photo of my chubby cat winking at you:

Scary or cute?

Soon to be Redhead (Again...)

A few days ago, I got a card from a post office and it said; "a large letter item is waiting for you at a postal outlet" – this could only mean one thing; my hair dyes had finally arrived!

The package could be retrieved on the next day so I had to wait... But on the next day I got the delivery from the post office and couldn’t wait to open it.

You know the feeling when you’re opening a box and it feels like a Christmas present – even you know what’s inside and it’s not Christmas? Yeah, I love that feeling.

Well, this appeared when I tore the box open.

Now I have plenty of hair dye just begging to be used! The dark roots are starting to sneak up on me again, for it took so long for me to get the hair dye but I just have to endure the damn roots because even I’m aiming for perfection what comes to my hair, I’m just not up for bleaching it again (and I don’t want to destroy my hair). And with this short roots it would be a waste of time and money – I mean, the roots are not nearly as bad as they were and I hope that they would at least turn into dark red. I just want red hair again, please? Thank you!

Yes, a super sexy after shower photo with glasses and no makeup. I prepared a good base for the hair dye by washing my hair – and thus, secretly enjoying my last days of being semi-blond. I dislike this current hair color more than you know... but now I finally have the red hair dye, and I'm planning to dye my hair on this very weekend!

I can't wait to have red hair again!
