“The year was 1917...”

... when Finland became Independent. It must be a marvelous year, even I was born 75 years later!

Yesterday I went to listen to a men’s choir “Mieskuoro Laulajat” at Tampere-talo to "Patriotic Festivities", which is a day before Independence Day. It has become a huge part of my celebration of Finland’s Independence Day!

I got myself ready early and I was not in a hurry, which I usually am... Ha!

We had plenty of time to have a glass of sparkling wine with my godmother before the concert started...

My outfit for the night was this:

Today I slept late. On the evening we drank sparkling wine and made pizza while watching The Independence Day’s reception. The whole day went by sooo fast!

I’m proud to be a Finnish and this day is something to be celebrated!
